Babatunde Soyoye
Co-Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Soyoye has over 20 years of investment experience in Africa and abroad. Mr. Soyoye joined our company in 2020 as our Co-Chief Executive Officer and a member of our Board of Directors. Mr. Soyoye is also the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of our investment advisor, Helios Investment Partners, and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Interswitch, a payments value chain technology company in Africa, and of TPAY Mobile, a payment connector company.
Prior to forming Helios Investment Partners, he was a principal at TPG Capital in London responsible for telecommunications and media investments across Europe. Before joining TPG, Mr. Soyoye was at British Telecom and at Singapore Telecom International. During this period, he played a key role in the execution of over $7 billion in investments across Africa, Europe, Asia and North America.
Mr. Soyoye is a member of the Commonwealth Enterprise & Investment Council and serves as a trustee on the Board of Trustees of Save the Children UK.
Mr. Soyoye received a BEng in Engineering and an MBA from the University of London (Kings & Imperial College).
