Katherine Cunningham

Ms. Cunningham has a distinguished career focused on finance. Ms. Cunningham currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at The Globe and Mail Inc., Canada’s national newspaper. Previously, she served in senior executive roles at Sun Life Financial Inc., a publicly listed global life insurance company, including Chief Financial Officer of Sun Life Canada, and the Chief Auditor. Prior, Ms. Cunningham spent 24 years at KPMG where she was a partner in the Financial Services practice and was previously the industry leader for their Media and Communications practice.
Ms. Cunningham is also a member of the Board of Directors of Women’s College Hospital, a hospital in Toronto focused on health for women, health equity and health system solutions, and Unsinkable, a not-for-profit focused on the power of storytelling to bridge the gap between traditional mental health resources and innovative, psychological support models.
Ms. Cunningham is a Chartered Professional Accountant and has a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University.
