Kofi Adjepong-Boateng

Dr. Adjepong-Boateng has had a distinguished career spanning finance, academia, and philanthropy. He currently serves as a non-executive director of the Pembani Remgro Infrastructure Managers, which he co-founded in 2012. PRIM focuses on African infrastructure and is based in South Africa. Previously, Mr. Adjepong-Boateng co-founded the corporate advisory firm First Africa Group, which was subsequently purchased by Standard Chartered Bank and, following the acquisition, he joined Standard Chartered as a Vice Chairman.
Mr. Adjepong-Boateng is presently the Associate Director of the Centre for Financial History at the University of Cambridge. He is also a Distinguished Fellow at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, University of Toronto and a Trustee of the UK’s Royal Economic Society. Previously, he was Chair of the Policy Committee of the Centre for the Study of African Economies at the Department of Economics, University of Oxford and a trustee of the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. In 2020, Mr. Adjepong-Boateng was awarded Commander of the British Empire for his contributions to philanthropy.
